Featuring 286 rooms – including 15 suites with views of Auckland city. The refurbishment started in early 2024 with Casambi Technology being selected due to the ease of installation and functionality
A floor by floor refurbishment over a 9 month period was a challenge for the client but soon they realised the advantages of implementing a Casambi solution.
Engaging Holders Technology to design and implement each room configuration, the exisiting control system was not delivering the clients requirements and in some room was not operational.
The Holders scope was to provide the dimming, room status, local switching, Power outlets, Motorised blind control while minimising additional cabling for Power or Lighting.
A range of Casambi devices were selected based on switching or dimming luminaires, providing the room occupier the benefit for mood lighting selection including a welcome scene and absence scene to maximise energy efficiency for unoccupied rooms.
Providing substantial benefits for the Electrician, each room was pre-commission to allow an install and walk-away scenario with Holders attending on-site to make minor changes or support the installation.
Our range of Italian wireless battery less switches and electrical switchgear combinations were also a major benefit for the client, reducing significant power cable and labour hours.
